Meet Our Teachers

Playschool parents list our dedicated and knowledgeable teachers as their favorite feature of our school's programming. Our teachers bring years of education, experience, and commitment with them into our classrooms.

  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Elementary and Early Childhood Education

  • Experience: I joined Playschool staff in 2017! I also spent eight years teaching in the public school system, primarily kindergarten. I love math, and was the Math Teacher Leader at my school during that time.

  • Free time: My busy crew enjoys watching and spending time playing baseball!

“I love watching our students build new relationships throughout the school year!”

  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Elementary Education (PreK-6); Master of Science in Education, with an emphasis on reading instruction

  • Experience: I taught kindergarten for eight years, before taking time off to raise my four children. I've also been a 4K religious education teacher since 2000. I joined the Playschool staff in 2016.

  • Free time: I enjoy reading, walking, and spending time with my family.  I especially enjoy watching my children play sports.

“Reading to the children is one of my favorite parts of teaching preschool. I enjoy seeing the children's enthusiasm as they share their thoughts and ideas about a story.”

  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Elementary and Early Childhood Education with a minor in Spanish

  • Experience: I was hired at Greendale Playschool in 2010.  Prior to that, I taught Head Start in MPS for six years, where I had the privilege of working with three and four-year olds.  I also was an instructor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee.

  • Free time: I love spending time with my family playing games, camping, and going on road trips.  I also love to cheer my kids on in their many activities!  I am very involved with their sports and school functions.  My older children live in Madison, and I love to visit them!  Badger games and the Dane County Farmers' Market are some of my favorite Madison pastimes.

"My favorite part about teaching is nurturing these young minds as they grow and learn about the world around them. I love to engage the children in learning through activities, allowing them to explore things in their unique way.  My goal is to help them create a love for learning that will stay with them as they grow."

  • Education: Bachelor of Science, Middle Childhood Early Adolescence (Grades 1-8) with a minor Social Science and Natural Science

  • Experience: I joined Playschool in August of 2018. Prior to this, I substitute-taught in various districts for five years. I also taught third grade in the School District of Greenfield for two years and taught middle school social studies and science in the Milwaukee Public School District for three years.

  • Free time: In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, travel, and do home renovation projects.

"Each child is unique, bringing with them a plethora of knowledge and experiences to share. Providing an environment where children feel safe to take risks, explore, and grow into becoming a lifelong learner is so important to me. My absolute favorite part of teaching is watching that "aha" moment occur for a child in my classroom.”
